First Performance!

publicart85

On October 15, 2023, the Youth and Seniors had their first performance at Performance Hall! A meaningful land honouring led by an Indigenous leader initiated the event. Mosaic Firefly directors Derek and Manami introduced the group, and soon enough, the stories flowed one after another. From poems, improv, and recounting, the participants acted out each others stories and shared their genuine experiences. After the closing act, there was a brief Q&A session where audience members could directly ask performers about their experiences.

Afterwards, everyone enjoyed delicious Indian food catering, and the Mosaic Firefly book with everyone's stories and artwork was distributed. It was a great afternoon, and a fantastic first performance!

What new joys and experiences await at the next performance on October 27?
